The amount of unwanted E-Mail has risen to 93,1 % in August 2007. This is more than the former record of 92 % measured last februari. The last weekend of August also provided a new record; with 97 % this has been the most violent Spam-weekend ever.

Holidays

One of the most important factors for the sudden increase in Spam in August are the holidays. During the holidays there has been less regualar E-Mail traffic while the total amount of Spam slightly increased. Source: CleanPort
